Although the J.Crew Collection (click here) displays the same new arrivals for Fall from last time.

Thankfully AppGal provided us with a direct link to it here. The September catalog for Men is also available. :) I am not sure if I like the color scheme for the catalogs yet. As for the new arrivals...My precious... I love a good, structured wool jacket for the Fall. So of course I am drawn to the Wool Flannel Marion Jacket (item 29019; $188.00) in Navy. The tailored fit and standing collar makes this piece a classic staple.
Also the Buena Notte Bag (Item 29477; $188.00) looks absolutely darling! I know it comes across a bit ol' lady-ish, but the handle (with its bows and additions) freshen it up. That is what makes it so great! It definitely is a piece that I see one using for generations.
Loves it! Well, maybe... One of the best parts of Fall fashion is seeing the outerwear collection. The "It" coat this season looks to be the Wool-Cashmere Icon Trench (Item 28231; $325.00) in Camel. For some reason, the coat looks amazing on the model and really frumpy on the mannequin. I hope it doesn't disappoint in real-life.
Hideous... What is up with the Islington Plaid Poncho (Item 29323; $1,195.00)? From the shape to the fabric to the pattern– it's all terrible. I have my fair share of ponchos (as someone whose family is from and still lives in Central & South America). I know ponchos can be difficult to wear, but the key to finding a beautiful one is getting the right fabric and shape. J.Crew's version does not posses either. And that price tag... seriously!?! On a bright note, this means ponchos might be coming back in style and I can start wearing mine again. :)
